Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Prince achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Queen Elizabeth II, from Instagram New Portraits sold for GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,098.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Prince achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Prince erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Queen Elizabeth II, from Instagram New Portraits für GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.098,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Prince erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Runaway Nurse im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51).
