Upper estimate price exceeded by 28 %.
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Clan Destiny by Robert Rauschenberg. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,128.88), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
