The work Reflections on Brushstrokes, from Reflections Series (C. 242) by Roy Lichtenstein was auctioned at Phillips in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 38,100.00 (€ 44,341.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).

Die Arbeit Reflections on Brushstrokes, from Reflections Series (C. 242) von Roy Lichtenstein kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 38.100,00 (€ 44.341,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
