Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Details Of Renaissance Paintings (Leonardo Da Vinci, The Annunciation, 1472) (F. & S. Iib.320) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2014. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,662.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
