Screenprint in colors on Rives BFK wove paper, signed in pencil and numbered AP 1/30 (an artist's proof, aside from the edition of 300), with the blindstamp of the publisher Gendai Hanga Center, Tokyo, printed by Rupert Jasen Smith, New York and Ryoichi Ishida, Tokyo, with the blindstamp of the latter, the full sheet, framed.

In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Kiku by Andy Warhol. The »bidding war« ended at USD 63,375.00 (€ 61,392.04), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kiku von Andy Warhol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 63.375,00 (€ 61.392,04) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
