Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled Film Still #60 by Cindy Sherman for USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,666.67). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled Film Still #60 von Cindy Sherman für USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.666,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
