Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Part Splinge, from Some New Prints (G. 1606, M.C.A.T. 334) by David Hockney was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 50,800.00 (€ 48,069.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four Part Splinge, from Some New Prints (G. 1606, M.C.A.T. 334) von David Hockney kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion.
