Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Hi-Way 39 Drive-In, Orange by Hiroshi Sugimoto. The price achieved of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,857.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
