Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kaws could be acquired at Phillips in London in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work FAR FAR DOWN changed hands for GBP 6,350.00 (€ 6,350.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kaws konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit FAR FAR DOWN für GBP 6.350,00 (€ 6.350,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
