Auction result well in line with expectations
The work UNTITLED (CHUM), PACKAGE PAINTING SERIES by Kaws was auctioned at Christies in London in September this year. The price achieved of USD 88,200.00 (€ 83,333.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit UNTITLED (CHUM), PACKAGE PAINTING SERIES von Kaws kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 88.200,00 (€ 83.333,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
