The work YOU SHOULD KNOW I KNOW by Kaws was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,700.00 (€ 12,017.41), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).

Die Arbeit YOU SHOULD KNOW I KNOW von Kaws wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 12.017,41) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
