Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Living Room With Oranges by Kevin Appel for USD 27,000.00 (€ 20,408.16). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Kevin Appel have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2002 by the work 4 Tier Bookshelf at USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,860.45).
