Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Hreppholar V (G. 1554, B-W. 78) by Richard Serra. The price achieved of USD 10,795.00 (€ 10,214.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Serra achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L.A. Cone in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 4,267,750.00 (€ 3,285,917.77).
