Both from the unnumbered edition of unknown size, published by Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd., Tokyo (incised with the artist's and publisher's copyright stamp on the underside), for cherry Fukuoka Edition (with their inkstamp on the underside).

Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Kaikai-chan; and Kiki-chan, from Kaikai & Kiki by Takashi Murakami. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,524.00 (€ 1,524.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kaikai-chan; and Kiki-chan, from Kaikai & Kiki von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.524,00 (€ 1.524,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
