Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Kōrin: Kyoto by Takashi Murakami. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,270.00 (€ 1,201.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kōrin: Kyoto von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.270,00 (€ 1.201,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
