Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Orion Noir Negative (Multiple) by Victor Vasarely. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,940.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
