Auction result well in line with expectations
The work today is the first day of spring by Walasse Ting was auctioned at Christies in London in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,523.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walasse Ting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Love Summer Long in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 6,820,000.00 (€ 745,115.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit today is the first day of spring von Walasse Ting kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
