The work Death In The Sickroom (W. 65) by Edvard Munch was sold in the Prints auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2012. The price achieved of USD 68,500.00 (€ 51,780.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).

Die Arbeit Death In The Sickroom (W. 65) von Edvard Munch wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Prints bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 51.780,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edvard Munch erzielen.
