Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Night Zag Wall by Louise Nevelson was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 350,500.00 (€ 276,114.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louise Nevelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Night Zag Wall von Louise Nevelson wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 350.500,00 (€ 276.114,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
