Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Status Symbols No. 26 by Rashaad Newsome was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 2,286.00 (€ 2,163.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rashaad Newsome achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sun King in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Status Symbols No. 26 von Rashaad Newsome wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.286,00 (€ 2.163,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rashaad Newsome erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sun King im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.439,99).
