Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Early American, Still Life with Balsam Apples by Sharon Core. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,604.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sharon Core achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bakery Counter, 1962 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,479.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early American, Still Life with Balsam Apples von Sharon Core zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.604,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sharon Core erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bakery Counter, 1962 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.479,33).
