Signed, numbered 5/5, titled and inscribed 'E.A.'. One of five artist's proofs aside from the edition. On Arches (with watermark). 52 : 40,5 cm (20,4 : 15,9 in). Sheet: 65,5 x 50 cm (25,8 x 19,6 in).
Sheet edges barely visible discoloured, with some soiling and a very short tear. Margins minor stained and with a few handling creases. [KR]

Estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Ketterer held the auction Kunst des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts/ Maritime Kunst, which included the work Humanité by Sonia Delaunay. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,428.00 19% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sonia Delaunay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prismes électriques in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 1,567,500.00.
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Ketterer die Auktion Kunst des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts/ Maritime Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Humanité von Sonia Delaunay zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.428,00 und damit 19% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sonia Delaunay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prismes électriques im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.567.500,00.
