The work Kanye Bear by Takashi Murakami was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. It achieved a price of USD 1,202,500.00 (€ 972,581.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).

Die Arbeit Kanye Bear von Takashi Murakami kam im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.202.500,00 (€ 972.581,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
