Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Kentridge could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Drawing From Felix In Exile changed hands for USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,802.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kentridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).
