Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).

Die Arbeit The Fan and Its Surroundings, from The Global Edition (E. 123) von Ed Ruscha wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.096,00 (€ 5.521,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 74%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
