Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Jeune femme aux bas noirs (Young Woman in Black Stockings) (B. 27, R.-M. 27) by Pierre Bonnard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,016.00 (€ 920.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeune femme aux bas noirs (Young Woman in Black Stockings) (B. 27, R.-M. 27) von Pierre Bonnard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.016,00 (€ 920,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
