Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work XXXIV Drawings for Dante's Inferno (F. 19, S. 15) by Robert Rauschenberg. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,052.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
