Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Flowers by Andy Warhol. Here, the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 200,000.00 (€ 172,087.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Andy Warhol zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 200.000,00 (€ 172.087,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
