In October 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Mountain Redux I by Clifford Ross. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,192.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clifford Ross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grain Vii, 2001 in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,917.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Redux I von Clifford Ross zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.192,34) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clifford Ross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grain Vii, 2001 im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.917,34).
