Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Space Study #1 by Ed Ruscha. The price achieved of USD 226,800.00 (€ 207,920.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
