The work Untitled (KAWSBOB for the Aldrich) by Kaws was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 16,510.00 (€ 14,954.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (KAWSBOB for the Aldrich) von Kaws kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 14.954,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
