In May 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work The Frieze: Figures I-A, I-E, I-F, Ii-D, Iii-D by Robert Graham. The »bidding war« ended at USD 390,000.00 (€ 289,898.16), 73% above the upper estimate. This high result makes The Frieze: Figures I-A, I-E, I-F, Ii-D, Iii-D the most expensive artwork by Robert Graham that we have observed at auctions so far.
