Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Opal Gospel by Robert Rauschenberg was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,334.00 (€ 4,831.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
