Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Yoko (No. 1) by Don Brown for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,528.82). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Don Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yoko XVI - 2006 in June this year with an auction result of EUR 39,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yoko (No. 1) von Don Brown für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.528,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Don Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yoko XVI - 2006 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.360,00.
