The work Tensión by Martha Boto was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The auction ended at the price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,991.43), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martha Boto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967, which sold at auction in December 2011 for EUR 83,565.00.

Die Arbeit Tensión von Martha Boto kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.991,43) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martha Boto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für EUR 83.565,00 versteigert wurde.
