Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work No Title by Eva Hesse. It changed hands for a price of USD 137,500.00 (€ 125,068.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eva Hesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No title in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,980,000.00 (€ 3,569,826.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit No Title von Eva Hesse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 125.068,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eva Hesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No title im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.980.000,00 (€ 3.569.826,89).
