Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Untitled (Acrobats) by Keith Haring. The price achieved of USD 905,000.00 (€ 727,608.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Keith Haring have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Acrobats) von Keith Haring zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 905.000,00 (€ 727.608,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Keith Haring auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
