The work Sky Cathedral by Louise Nevelson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. It achieved a price of USD 989,000.00 (€ 795,143.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Louise Nevelson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dawn's Landscape XLIII sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 989.000,00 (€ 795.143,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Louise Nevelson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
