Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Editions, which included the work Hallie Mae Frowick Halston's mother by Andy Warhol. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,671.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
