Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five Threes (L. 28) by Brice Marden was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,132.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brice Marden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 11 (to Léger) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 16,999,000.00 (€ 15,060,689.29).
