Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Poisoned Man) by Dana Schutz was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 1,764 (€ 1,674) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 1,500 - 2,500. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Schutz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000 (€ 5,279,191).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Poisoned Man) von Dana Schutz wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.764 (€ 1.674) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500 – 2.500 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Schutz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000 (€ 5.279.191).
