In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Joan Crawford on Fire, Thanksgiving, New Jersey sold for USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,522.05) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nan Goldin erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Joan Crawford on Fire, Thanksgiving, New Jersey für USD 1.512,00 (€ 1.522,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
